HeatWave Poster

In November I started on the artwork for the HeatWave festival which took place across Australia. The line up for the HeatWave festival included: Kid Cudi, Tech N9ne, D12, Obie Trice, Chamillionaire and Crazy Town. The majority of the work I did required versions for; South Australia, Melborune, Brisbane, Sydney, Perth and Canberra but I will only show one of each.

I hadn’t created a two color poster before but I think this came out pretty well considering that and the extremely tight deadline. I love Cudi’s orange eyes.

So I’ve been working on the designs for the Australian Heatwave Festival and here are two of the many posters. The majority follow the same layout as the SA poster.I had to do a fair few illustrations of the main acts for the Heatwave artwork. Heatwave currently has an amazing line up, so if you’re into Hip Hop and are Aus based you’re in for a TREAT. Kid Cudi, Tech N9ne, D12, Obie Trice, Chamilionaire, Crazy Town, Bombs Away! and a hell of a lot more rock and dance acts for the other tents. Get yourself a ticket.

I like to get followers and likers involved with these random combination pieces. It started with ‘a killer monkey with a machete’ and this time ‘an angry cats ice cream disaster’ was suggested. The person who suggested the idea has an A3 print on the way to them right now. Get involved here.

Haven’t done one of these in a while now so I took the opportunity to today. A minimal poster on one of my favorite movies – if you have seen it, you’ll get it. If you haven’t… shame on you!

Basically… PVT Ryan’s 3 brothers are all KIA. His mother will receive news all at once so they go to save her last son.

A Stanley Kubrick exhibition began on the 23rd March in Paris, and along side it runs a virtual exhibition by La Ciniematheque Francaise. My minimal movie poster, Full Metal Jacket, was picked to feature in the exhibition. Pretty cool eh?
