My car is pretty much a big personal project of mine, even though this time around I’ve opted to go with a classic mini style of the checkered flag instead of my own design. Hence why he’s called Damier. Below is a pretty cool picture. It was almost pitch black when it was taken, thanks to slow shutter speed the lights look great! I’m finally waving bye bye to the 15″ alloys to replace them with my next mod.

I think it’s every true mini owners project to get there car just how they want it as soon as they catch the modding bug. Then I hear once your car is complete you sell it… apparently! But we’ll see   Obviously not everyone who owns one loves it as much as others. I’m on about someone who loves there mini to bits and doesn’t just use it as a run about, spends hours washing it and is part of a car club. For example the people in the picture below, which was taken earlier this year on the Notts Mini Club Peek run (I sadly wasn’t there).

Ever since I first saw an article about light painting I wanted to try it. That must have been over a year ago, but a couple of weeks ago I saw this article on Abduzeedo.com and thanks to Christopher Hibbert explaining the process I finally had a go last night. Waiting for it to get dark was a trial! The pics below are done by me and my mate, they’re not brilliant but not too bad for the first attempt. Next time we’re going to try using different colors and see how that turns out.

I took this weekend off for a much needed break as I’ve been non stop since 2nd of Jan. Today I went to a heritage event down in Wolstanton with the Notts Mini Club which I had prepared for with a 3 hour car cleaning session on the saturday… but then it rained during the night… typical! Thought I’d share some pictures, they’re not brilliant pictures – wasn’t in much of a picture taking mood shockingly enough… Must have been the super early start which was a shock to my system lol

Went out for a little photoshoot today with my friend. The snow unfortunately melted and we were left with sludge but we carried on. I don’t think of myself as a photographer, but last year I rarely got chance to use my camera so one of my resolutions was to go out and use my SLR more and learn photography and maybe reach the photographer status one day.
