The initial ideas for the D-Side logo are below. They wanted an Old English/Blackletter style so I went with a tattoo look, a crest style and two graffiti based ones. Tried to keep it simple.

Rock The Nation Sound present Lady Shelly’s new release ‘Strictly Music, No Politics’. The cover is typography/abstract based, showing the separation the two main parties in the Jamaican Election time by the JLP & PNP. A mix of violence brought on by the separated country and musical elements. This will be a free download, so anyone whose into their dancehall, grab a digital copy when it’s released

Read MoreDJ Stylus is making some big moves this year already so you ought to keep an eye on him. You may have already seen his previous mixtapes ‘Time to get Funky‘ and ‘The Urban Mixshow 2K10‘ via this blog or his. This time he’s gone down the podcast route, this will be up on iTunes and it’s free for your listening pleasure.

For the cover I went with something text based, nice and bold so that it can be seen at the smaller iTunes sizes as well as look good in larger versions. His previous colors have been dark so I thought I’d lighten things up this time.
