As the final SAW movie is approaching and the promotional material is starting to be released, I thought I’d dedicate a blog post to my favorite horror movie posters. Ever since I saw the SAW II poster on the sides of double-decker buses I’ve loved the SAW posters. They make you stare at them, they’re controversial and have great manipulations.

DJ Grind was one of the first clients I worked with when I started getting into graphic design, waaaay back when I went by the pretty odd name of Fraawgz. He believed in me and my work enough to pay me with his hard earned cash along with giving me plenty of radio shout outs along with taking the time to recommend me to various other people, from the UK to the US. What can I say? He’s a genuine guy! You may have heard him on Express FM’s RnG Show (the #1 Urban Show in the South), maybe you’ve been to a club where he was DJing or have listened to one of his many mixtapes, including ‘The Showdown‘ (Eminem _^VS Lil Wayne). If you haven’t… well, shame on you!

I’m dedicating a blog post to Grind to say a thank you for his support over the past few years as he’s leaving the music scene to concentrate on his full time job as he’s landed himself a promotion Read more about the reasons in his own words here. Firstly… This is not directed or edited by me. I’m generally just giving a long term client a little extra promo because I think this video is pretty cool. The style of the editing fits the songs perfectly and there’s only a couple of parts I don’t like (when the stop sign & esq turn black & white shades). Overall it’s a great video created by ForteNox for ESQ. Great quality too compared to youtube, it takes a little longer to load but it’s worth it as there’s not a stretched pixel in sight on my 24″ screen!

Happy New Year to everyone who takes the time to pop by this blog and view my work. Whether you like my work or not, your visits are appreciated and I understand not everyone is going to be a ‘fan’.

I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone whose shown support to me in 2009. Thanks to all the clients who chose to work with me. There’s 1000s of other designers you could have gone to but you chose me, ahh makes me feel special lol I hope to continue working with you in the future and of course I look forward to working with all the new clients I’ll be networking with in 2010 and beyond.

I first started in May ‘08 and I feel I’ve managed to come a long way in a short-ish space of time and I just hope that it will carry on that way, I love to learn new things, I love working with different people from around the globe, I love a challenge so I just love this job. I’ll be working extremely hard throughout this new decade to get to where I’d like to be by the time I’m 28. I’ve got ten years, so I’m getting straight to work, no time to waste!

I hope that everyone whose shown support and everyone I’ve worked with in the past year will have a successful 2010 which will point them into the right direction of where they’d like to be in 10 years too. Best of luck!

I’ve never done a post like this before but I think it’s important to show appreciation to other artists who you have been inspired by or just generally love the work of. So I’ll start up a series of posts with some notorious movie posters. I honestly don’t know who is responsible for making them, google didn’t seam to want to give me any answers and I only have a little time to post this, so maybe if you know who did then please leave a comment.
