Three 29 Design

…because the world is just one big pixel.

Here’s the logo and business card for Jonas the club Photographer ;) Very simple, kept it professional looking but just for a little touch of urban-ness I added some light paint sprays to the corners of the business cards.

Number is blurred out for privacy.

Here’s the business cards for Massive G of Rock The Nation Sound. He recently saw the Wittyboy flyer and liked the idea of the fire style – but in the ragga color scheme of course ;)

PS sorry about the blur, it’s because they’re resized.

This cover was made many months back now but we were waiting on the final track list & ad space to complete it. This mixtape’s content has been in the making for over a year… and you’ll have to wait a little longer to get your hands on it too. I’ll keep you updated or sign up here to stay in contact with Rock The Nation Sound. The tape is a mix of dancehall and westcoast rap :)

I went with a military theme… (but with uh.. more eye catching colors lol), due to the DJ’s name.

Here’s my second SoundClick layout, once again I teamed up with Jes of DesignMindZ for the coding.

Jones Shorty wanted a Purple/Black/White theme, based around a music element, so as he’s a producer, some nice speakers worked well. I added in bits of green to help make the purple pop, yep… neon lines again, it’s my ‘thing’ you see. Jones wanted the Baltimore skyline to be prominent so I fitted it into the banner and the background. Looks good to me, what do you think?

S.Con Promotions Logo

January 25, 2010 Logo Comments

S.Con Promotions is a business that dedicates its time to promoting new artists, around the globe.

The logo was to represent the Trinidad & Tobago flag, therefore I used the colors, red, black and white. At the top of the crest there are waves, to remove a boring straight edge and symbolize the islands shores, along with the palm tree. The humming bird is the native bird and was requested along with a crest style for the logo itself.

It works well with color, still does it’s job in black and white and can be printed where ever :) Job done.

It’s ALIVE!

To The Republic’s myspace layout is now complete! It has a very blue/purple feel about it… My neon line kind of style tied in well with the shots the band had taken especially for the layout as in the background there’s a power station which was lit up bright blue, with a deep purple sky. Kudos to the photographer. Click the image below to view the live page, and if you like there music, support the band and purchase a CD or digital copy of the bands Drown EP (well worth the $6 – probably 50x better than CDs you spend $15 on too). Also you can support the band by adding the widget (which is coming soon – keep your eyes pealed) to your myspace profile!

I created Noxious N8’s album cover for ‘Epidemic’ a long time ago now, so the style was resurrected in order to create his new layout which promotes the album to the fullest. Epidemic is arriving late 2010 so keep your eyes out for that :) It’s a regular myspace page package with a flash banner.

Voila! Another for Tasty Management. Pop down to Bedroom if you’re in Sheffield.

Saint Anger recently became a nominee for the DMV Awards, so he contacted me for a quick flash intro to his site. You can view the actual banner here however it’s original size was a lot bigger than its seen on there so the pixelation may occur because of that.

The Mini & The Astra

January 2, 2010 photography Comments

Went out for a little photoshoot today with my friend. The snow unfortunately melted and we were left with sludge but we carried on. I don’t think of myself as a photographer, but last year I rarely got chance to use my camera so one of my resolutions was to go out and use my SLR more and learn photography and maybe reach the photographer status one day.

My first ever SoundClick layout! This was a collaboration between me - on the design - and Jes of DesignMindZ - on the coding - everything turned out great :) This layout was for Swift Beats, a UK Hip Hop producer whose stepping up in the game. His beats are worth a good listen to if your looking for some new tracks for your mixtape, single or album – just make sure you read his terms.

Happy New Year!

January 1, 2010 Appreciation Comments

Happy New Year to everyone who takes the time to pop by this blog and view my work. Whether you like my work or not, your visits are appreciated and I understand not everyone is going to be a ‘fan’.

I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone whose shown support to me in 2009. Thanks to all the clients who chose to work with me. There’s 1000s of other designers you could have gone to but you chose me, ahh makes me feel special lol ;) I hope to continue working with you in the future and of course I look forward to working with all the new clients I’ll be networking with in 2010 and beyond.

I first started in May ‘08 and I feel I’ve managed to come a long way in a short-ish space of time and I just hope that it will carry on that way, I love to learn new things, I love working with different people from around the globe, I love a challenge so I just love this job. I’ll be working extremely hard throughout this new decade to get to where I’d like to be by the time I’m 28. I’ve got ten years, so I’m getting straight to work, no time to waste!

I hope that everyone whose shown support and everyone I’ve worked with in the past year will have a successful 2010 which will point them into the right direction of where they’d like to be in 10 years too. Best of luck!

- Livia :)

The good ol’ postman delivered by two copies of To The Republic’s ‘Drown EP’ today. It printed really well, nice and sharp :) It was printed on gloss card stock, screen printed CD and shrink wrapped.

Order yourself a copy here, if you like rock or indie music it’ll be right down your street. Money well spent, these guys have talent.

I have a new toy!

December 24, 2009 vector Comments

This isn’t anything I’d add to my portfolio by the way… lets just get that straight lol but not everything on here has to be serious now does it?!
My boyfriend got me a Wacom Bamboo today - like the one pictured below - for Christmas and I’ve been messing around on it… and… it’s a little hard to get used to!

Below is my first creation lol. Go ahead and admire (well not really…)! I will let you off for the smirk… ;)

one of my new year resolutions is to do 20mins on this every day I work to build skills.

Here’s the cover art for DJ Stylus’ mix for the new year. He’ll be handing these out at shows in and around Manchester, so if you see him, make sure you get one. This cover is pretty different, especially to the usual look of mixtape covers, hence why I really liked doing it :) It’s bright yet grunge. Reminds me of a neon club night or something. What do you think?

House M.D Vector

December 21, 2009 vector Comments

Sorry been M.I.A for a week or so now. The flu bug got me and knocked me out for a while. Just on my way to recovery now, so projects have just been taken off hold.

Perfect time to unravel another one of my intentionally minimal vectors, this time on the good ol’ Doctor House. I so wish he was real lol :( I’ll tidy it up sometime so I can get myself a print for my wall.

Starface ‘09 Print

December 8, 2009 poster Comments

This is my 3rd vector ever. I had an urge to try out vectoring in a style that I used to paint in (shadow/highlight separation). Just cleaned this one up and made a print version of the shadow/highlight vector of The Game. Minimalist, simple and bold. Would look pretty cool framed in a white modern room…

If you’re interested in getting a print contact me, it’s a non-profit sale. Just happy to get my work on the walls of people interested. Sizes are A3 or A2.
